Three Ink Deals for 100,000 SF at Americas Tower

NEW YORK CITY-Three tenants signed deals for an aggregate of 100,000 sf at the one-million-sf 1177 Ave. of the Americas, which is also known as Americas Tower. KBC Bank NV took the largest chunk of space leasing 50,000 sf. QVT Financial LP and Herman Miller Inc. each signed for 25,000 sf. The one-million-sf office asset is located one block from Rockefeller Center. Others on the tenant roster include PricewaterhouseCoopers, Dickstein, Shapiro, Movin & Oshinksy LLP and Kramer Levin.

In December, Paramount Group Real Estate Fund III acquired KanAm grundinvest Fonds’ minority interest in the site. The fund is operated by Paramount Group, which in partnership with other investors, acquired the 47-story building for approximately $405 million in late 2002 from Japanese contractor Kumagai Gumi.
