Bringing with him over 16 years of experience in the industry and specifically in the DC area, Lipton comes to Grubb & Ellis from CB Richard Ellis where he was managing director of asset services for the Washington, DC area. He takes over for John Lesinski. A Grubb & Ellis spokesperson tells GlobeSt.com he is currently still at the company and exploring other options.

Lipton, who half-joked that he had been on the job for all of three hours at the time that he spoke to GlobeSt.com, already has a strategy in mind for taking Grubb & Ellis to new levels. "This company has an incredibly talented and capable staff. One of the ways to grow the company is to grow the staff we have now by complementing it in areas where we don't have a presence in the market or don't have a strong presence. We want key individuals in these areas from other companies."
