Birmingham Officials Hoping To Attract Retailers

BIRMINGHAM, MI-Birmingham is hoping to compete with Somerset Collection and other area retailers by attracting new national tenants to the downtown area. Officials have sought the advice of Detroit-based Bieri Co., a national retail consulting firm.

BIRMINGHAM, MI-Birmingham officials are hoping to attract more national retailers to the area and have sought the advice of a national retail consultant.

Pam Iacobelli, president of the Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce, tells GlobeSt.com that the chamber is working with the Birmingham Principal Shopping District, a local business development group, on finding ways to attract more national retailers to the downtown area. “It’s a constant challenge to keep retail tenants in the area and attract new ones.”
