Heery International has been tapped to design the center, which will offer 130 classrooms, computer lab space, as well as office space. "There are more than 16,000 new high technology jobs coming to Prince George's County alone by 2010," said Prince George's County Executive Jack B. Johnson. "This new high technology training center at Prince George's Community College will greatly enhance students' learning experience to prepare them for the modern world."

Organizations such as the Potomac Electric Power Co. and Verizon contributed to the funding of the center. The facility is on target to open its doors in the fall of 2007.
