UPDATE: Silverstein, PA Head Back to the Bargaining Table

NEW YORK CITY-Representatives from World Trade Center leaseholder Silverstein Properties and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey are prepared to resume talks today. Last night, Larry Silverstein said representatives from the Port Authority presented a new proposal to the company.

“A new round of face-to-face talks is set to resume tomorrow,” Silverstein said. “We are confident that we can reach an agreement if both sides are willing to engage in good faith and remain at the table for the duration. “

Talks regarding the rebuilding of the World Trade Center site broke down on March 14 at the deadline imposed by New York State Gov. George Pataki. He had given the pair 90 days to resolve their differences.
