Matthew J. Haas of Manekin LLC and colleagues Kevin Haus and Owen Rouse assisted Gebhardt & Smith in its search for new space, while Kevin Wille of CB Richard Ellis represented property owner ABB South Street Associates LLC. Additional terms of the lease agreement have not been made available.

"They were looking for a building with a good floor plate and a panoramic view of the city and this building afforded them both," Haas tells GlobeSt.com. The firm's relocation was spurred by the impending end of the firm's lease this year and an issue that began three years ago; Gebhardt & Smith had filed a lawsuit, which was recently settled, asserting that the property owner and manager did not honor their responsibility to protect the building from 2003's Hurricane Isabel.
