With work scheduled to get under way in spring 2007, the Renaissance will contain 105 affordable residences, 20,000 sf of ground-level, neighborhood retail and 140 parking spaces. The architectural firm of Eric Colbert & Associates has been tapped to design the six-story environmentally-friendly building.

La Kritz Adler already has had a hand in bringing new life to the underserved Georgia Avenue corridor, spending $1.3 million to redevelop 3634 Georgia Ave., which is now the 4,400-sf home to a popular restaurant and pub and centers for yoga and meditation. The Renaissance is on target to open doors in 2009.
