MCLEAN, VA-JER Partners has promoted Cia Buckley to president of US Fund Business. She takes on the position after six years of heading up North American acquisitions and asset management as senior managing director at the company. JER Partners is the private equity investment division of real estate investment management concern JE Robert Cos. Buckley will continue to oversee acquisitions and asset management and will also remain a member of the company's investment committee.
Buckley joined JER in 1997 as CFO and senior vice president. In 2000, she was promoted to senior managing director. In this role, Buckley was involved with the firm's US investment funds, including the most recent, JER Fund III, launched in October 2004 with $823 million of capital commitments.

Robert Jr., JE Robert Cos. chairman and CEO. Before becoming part of the JER family, Buckley spent nearly a decade at Bankers Trust's Investment Banking Group.
