"Jim represents a critical element of Trammell Crow Co.'s overall brokerage strategy to build a best-in-class brokerage platform in the New York/Tri-State region," says Robert K. Shibuya, Trammell Crow's senior managing director, global brokerage services. "He will be responsible for servicing the company's corporate accounts in the New York area, while leading new business efforts in the pursuit of new corporate tenant and landlord agency business on a national basis."

In December, another industry veteran left Cushman & Wakefield for a new opportunity with Trammell Crow. Kenneth Krasnow assumed the newly created position of executive vice president and director of brokerage services. When Krasnow came onboard Michael J. Lafitte, president of Trammell Crow's Global Services Group, said TCC made expansion in New York City a top priority.

When contacted by GlobeSt.com, Cushman & Wakefield officials issued no comment on Quinn's move. Quinn spent the past 18 years representing the national and international clientele of Fortune 100 companies and worldwide organizations. His client list included such names as IBM, Dow Jones, Washington Mutual, YWCA, Keefe, Bruyette & Woods and the Thomson Corp. In one deal, along with Duncan McCuaig, he represented Dow Jones in a 15-year lease renewal at One World Financial Center that encompassed 151,000 sf.

"Jim Quinn represents Trammell Crow's continued commitment to the New York market and is a testament to our ability to attract the most professional brokerage talent to our platform," according to Joe Callanan, senior managing director for Trammell Crow Co.'s northeast region. Quinn will be based at the firm's Midtown Manhattan offices, located at 335 Madison Ave.
