Student Loan Originator Takes 21,677 SF Downtown

CHICAGO-National Education Servicing, LLC is moving Downtown, having signed a lease for 21,677 sf at 200 W. Monroe St. The student loan originator was forced to move by Corus Bank’s decision to occupy the entire building at 2412 W. Lawrence Ave., according to Studley corporate managing director Robert Sevim. The Lincoln Square location is where National Education Servicing had been for 20 years.

Although terms were not disclosed, asking lease net rates at the 32-year-old property start at $13 per sf, according to Black’s Guide. More than 50% of the 625,149-sf building at Monroe and Wells streets, now owned by the nonprofit JFMC Facilities Corp., is vacant.
