A plastics engineering and services provider that works with thegovernment and other government contractors, D. WheatleyEnterprises Inc., which has called Aberdeen Tech Center home forthe last eight years, more than doubled its occupancy at theproperty by expanding from 14,400 sf to 36,900 sf. NewcomerBattelle Memorial Institute, a global science and technologyconcern, signed a lease for 4,800 sf of space. Further terms of theagreements between the occupants and property owner and manager St.John Properties Inc. have not been disclosed.

Wheatley Enterprises has been a long-term and stable tenantat Aberdeen Technology Park and they are making a strong statementby increasing their space requirement by nearly three-fold at theproject," says Jerry Witt, St. John VP of marketing and leasing."We have been extremely successful in attracting companies that areinvolved in the defense or high-technology industries to thislocation, and Battelle Memorial Institute represents the latestexample in this pattern. We expect interest in office spacesituated near military installations to increase in the comingyears."
