Boyken Starts Dispute Resolution Division

ORLANDO-Atlanta-based Boyken International has opened a Dispute Resolution Division at its Orlando office and named former Atlanta lawyer C.G. Sonny Jester Jr. to head the new section. The global consulting group’s mission is to avoid lawsuits filed by owners and developers on commercial real estate projects, Jester says.

“Florida’s rapidly expanding real estate development industry is no stranger to escalating costs, delayed schedules and supply and labor shortages,” he says. “Due to these circumstances, developers, construction companies and subcontractors must devote almost as much time working through conflicts as they do delivering projects on schedule and within budget.”

Jester says another focus of the new division is “to resolve disputes by assisting owners and contractors in presenting their best case to explain their circumstances and finding workable, agreeable solutions with the developer.”
