CHICAGO-Three vintage multifamily rental buildings have changed hands for more than $10 million, with a Morton Grove-based investment group cashing out on two of them for $8.5 million. The two buildings, in the Sheridan Park and Logan Square neighborhoods, totaled 168 units while a 13-unit building in Wrigleyville sold by a North Side limited liability corporation commanded $2.2 million.

Morton Grove-based investors sold an 87-unit courtyard building at 4600 N. Beacon Ave., constructed in 1927, for more than $4.3 million. Meanwhile, it parted with an 81-unit building at 3257 W. Wrightwood Ave., constructed in 1925, for nearly $4.2 million. A Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Brokerage Co. team of Shaun Buss, Sean Lyons and Marc Sommer brokered both sales.

While the larger buildings traded at less than $51,000 per unit, the three-story, 13-unit property at 3414 N. Racine Ave. sold for $2.2 million, or $190 per sf. Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Brokerage Co.'s David Bilfeld brokered the sale of the 85-year-old building.
