Four restaurants that have signed leases including P.F. Chang's China Bistro, Bravo! Italian Kitchen, California Pizza Kitchen and Claddagh Irish Pub. Twelve stores that have signed leases include Apple, Ann Taylor, Coldwater Creek, J. Crew, Brooks Brothers, Delia's, Gap, Gap Kids, Baby Gap, Gap Body, Banana Republic and Eddie Bauer. There is room for a total of up to 90 stores and/or restaurants, Taubman spokesperson Karen McDonald tells GlobeSt.com. "We have fully executed leases for these stores and restaurants and are in discussions with many other retailers," she says. "We believe that the mall will be as much as destination for dining and entertainment as it is for shopping."
The mall is located along the south side of M-59 between Garfield and Romeo Plank. It will be anchored by a 120,000-sf, two-story Parisian and a 129,000-sf, two-story Nordstrom which will open in spring 2008. It will also include a 14-screen, 55,749-sf movie theater complex with 2,500 stadium-style seats being built by MJR Theatres. The initial stages of site preparation were started in April at the site, says McDonald.
