The REIT plans to market the space in the $22-million facilityto both large and small technology businesses. The new four-storyoffice structure will sit at 5520 Research Dr.
News of its impending development comes on the heels of theMarchannouncement that the company will build the 23,400-sf,$4.2-million home for the US Geological Survey'sMaryland-Delaware-District of Columbia Water Science Center, whichwill sit adjacent to the new office building. The research park'sfirst two structures, which were developed in 2001 and 2004 atabout 60,000 sf each, are both fully leased. bwtech@UMBC canultimately accommodate as much as 330,000 sf of office and labspace development.
