Harris' "extensive experience in real estate and his familiarity with both Charlotte and Raleigh make him the ideal individual for this position," says Tom Senkbeil, executive vice president and chief investment officer of Post. "Under his direction, we'll continue to seek out the best opportunities in North Carolina, which is one of the nation's fastest growing states."

Prior to Grubb Properties, Harris worked in both corporate finance and operating capacities for the St. Joe Co. of Jacksonville, FL. Senkbeil says Harris is credited with "playing a central role in transforming the Florida-based corporation from an industrial conglomerate into a diversified real estate operating company." Harris began his career as chief financial officer for East West Partners, a Chapel Hill-based developer of master-planned communities.

The new Post Properties executive is a member of the Urban Land Institute and is active in both the Urban Development/Mixed-Use Council and the Charlotte District Council. He has a degree in business administration from Wake Forest University and a master of business administration degree with a concentration in real estate from the Kenan-Flagler School of Business at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
