As owner's rep, Mast is responsible for coordinating activities between private entities and the public sector, managing acquisitions and condemnations and keeping the various components on time and on budget. "This project will truly transform the face of Newark," says Mast president Ted Domuracki, who's heading the project team with vice president Richard A. Brown and project manager Jim Napolitano.

The Devils' arena complex, which will also host entertainment, convention and other events, will include a 300-room hotel. The larger redevelopment project's components will include office space, a retail complex, a 40-story residential tower, several parking structures and public plazas. Station Plaza Newark Downtown Core Urban Renewal Co. LLC and Lafayette Broad LLC are the redevelopers, working under the aegis of the NDCRC.
