$140M Racino Rising at Horse Track

POMPANO BEACH, FL- Isle of Capri Casinos Inc., which owns and operates the race track, says adding a casino was a natural fit with the gambling that already takes place at the facility.

POMPANO BEACH, FL-Isle of Capri Casinos Inc. is moving forward on a $140-million Isle of Capri Racino at Pompano Park Harness Track. Construction has begun and is expected to be completed in late 2006 or early 2007.

The project will include 1,500 slot machines, a poker room, four restaurants including Farraddays’ steakhouse, a tropical-themed buffet and a New York-style delicatessen. The heart of the project will be a multi-story feature bar offering high action imagery and audio on multiple video displays. The project also includes new horse racing amenities including a high-tech sports bar and wagering area overlooking the track.
