"This new facility will greatly increase our ability to assist some of the city's most at-risk young people," says CEO Hector Batista. "With this new space also comes the challenge of increasing our supporter base so that we can in turn train more young adults who are both out of work and out of school."

The space was designed by MJF Architecture, and will include six "non-traditional" classrooms including two computer labs, 15 offices, as well as student and staff lounges. VFI assists educationally and economically disadvantaged young adults from New York City to gain the skills and tools they need to achieve financial independence through full-time employment.
