NEW YORK CITY-Vocational Foundation Inc. has committed do 17,000 sf of space at 52 Broadway for its headquarters. The 15-year deal marks the workforce-development organization’s return to Lower Manhattan.Founded in 1936, the group spent the past five years in Brooklyn. It had been located at 902 Broadway for 65 years prior to that move. The new space, which spans the entire sixth floor, represents an increase of 6,000 sf over its previous location. No other leasing details were released.

“This new facility will greatly increase our ability to assist some of the city’s most at-risk young people,” says CEO Hector Batista. “With this new space also comes the challenge of increasing our supporter base so that we can in turn train more young adults who are both out of work and out of school.”
