"Our sales and revenue management people are providing immediate support to the property," says Mark Di Piazza, vice president of full-service hotels for HHM, a Philadelphia-based manager of midscale and upscale hotels in the northeastern US. "We will be placing renewed emphasis on operations, customer service and shared services."

Besides its 307 rooms, 42 of which are suites, the property has some 20,000 sf of meeting and banquet space, including a grand ballroom, a 75-seat amphitheater and executive boardrooms. It's attached to the Woodbridge Place office complex on Route One South here.

"This agreement is consistent with our strategy of expanding HHM's core business through new third-party management relationships," says Naveen Kakarla, vice president of administration for HHM. "It's also strategically placed near four other upscale properties under our management."

The other four properties include the Courtyard by Marriott in Ewing Township, near Princeton; the Hilton Garden Inn in Edison; the Hampton Inn, in Linden; and the Radisson Hotel in Carteret. The latter property, located just off the New Jersey Turnpike, is currently wrapping up construction and slated to open later this spring.
