Child Net oversees child welfare in Broward County. The organization cares for and counsels children who have been abused, abandoned or neglected. The organization also provides short-term foster care.
Tavares tells GlobeSt.com that two other government agencies that Child Net works closely with recently renewed their leases at 311-359 State Road 7. "After thoroughly reviewing their alternatives, Child Net concluded that the most viable solution was to relocate and share the campus with other child- and family welfare-related organizations," she says.
311-359 State Road 7 consists of three buildings totaling 124,037 sf. Space rents for an average of $17 per sf. With the Child Net lease, the buildings are 100% occupied. Other tenants include the Department of Children & Family Services and the Broward County Sheriff's Office.
