BARTLETT, IL-JIT Packaging's future home is under construction at Brewster Creek Business Park, where Elgin-based Capital Realty & Development LLC is building a 259,700-sf facility. In addition to cutting the commute for JIT Packaging president Michael Hrbacek, a Bartlett resident, the building's completion this summer will result in 30 employees moving from leased space in Schaumburg.
Founded in Elgin in 1994, JIT Packaging moved to 144,000 sf at 800 Albion in Schaumburg last March. The larger building is expected to help the company expand its inventory and product lines.
Although terms were not disclosed, the asking net lease rate at Brewster Creek Business Park, west of Route 59 and north of Stearns Road, is $4.95 per sf for available space. Grubb & Ellis senior vice president Brian Carroll, represented JIT Packaging in negotiations with Capital Realty & Development's Rich Turansky. Insite Construction is general contractor for the building, designed by Arete 3.
