Starwood To Manage Astir Palace Hotel Complex

ATHENS-Astir Palace Vouliagmeni has appointed Starwood to manage the Astir Palace resort complex and the three five-star hotels it encompasses.

ATHENS-Starwood Hotels & Resorts is taking over management of the Astir Palace Hotel complex, the famed luxury resort near Athens. Owners Astir Palace Vouliagmeni appointed Starwood to oversee the complex located on the Athenian Riviera.

The complex comprises three five-star hotels–the Arion, Nafsika and Aphrodite–and 76 bungalows, with a total of 526 guest rooms. The resort covers 75 acres on a private peninsula and has views of the Saronic Gulf on the Mediterranean Sea and three private beaches. In July, Starwood will raise its Luxury Collection flag on the Arion Hotel and the Westin flag on the Nafsika Hotel. In 2008, the Aphrodite will become a W, following an extensive renovation.
