Over the last month, two other law firms have taken space at the site. Covington & Burling took 160,000 sf on five floors and Seyfarth Shaw LLP took 100,000 sf on three floors.

Terms of the latest deal were not released, but space in the site is marketed at $85 per sf. With this signing, nearly one-half of the 700,000 sf of space owned by Forest City Ratner Cos. has been leased. The 52-story tower is at 620 Eighth Ave. between West 40th and 41st streets. FCRC will own floors 29 through 52. The New York Times Co. will own and occupy the remaining floors, which will serve as their corporate headquarters.

Osler is currently located at 1221 Ave. of the Americas. Occupancy will take place in the second quarter of 2007. FCRC was represented by a team led by Mary Ann Tighe, including Howard Fiddle, Tim Dempsey, Pete Turchin, Matt Preotle and Jason Pollen of CB Richard Ellis. Osler was represented by Osler attorneys Norman Loveland and Neil Bindman, and was advised by Mark Weiss of Newmark Knight Frank.
