Also joining Grubb & Ellis is Will Travis, as senior vice president and regional director of project management. He will oversee those activities in the region. The business was formed earlier this year as part of a strategic growth plan. Travis, in particular, Lipton says, was a key component of the deal. "Project management is definitely an area we plan to develop further." Lipton himself is relatively new to the Grubb & Ellis Washington, DC-team, as is Margaret Donkerbrook, vice president, managing director.

Both Morris and McNair were founding partners of Morris-McNair & Associates, which was acquired by GVA Advantis in 1999. For the past six years, the Morris-McNair team has been ranked as the No. 1 leasing team in the DC region. Gregg A. Brown, Josh Hartman, Rob Watts and Michael Molinari are also part of the GVA Advantis team.

Morris and McNair provide real estate solutions for a national client base of corporate, legal and defense contractors that include Alion Science and Technology, Boies, Schiller & Flexner and the Urban Institute. The Morris-McNair team completed more than $126 million in transactions in 2005.

Travis is a registered architect in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. Prior to joining GVA Advantis in 2001, he was a founding principal of O'Brien, Travis Jaccard.
