Grubb & Ellis Recruits Team for Expansion

WASHINGTON, DC-One of the hires will oversee Grubb & Ellis' recently formed project management division.

WASHINGTON, DC-Grubb & Ellis Co. has brought over a seven-person brokerage team led by William R. Morris, III and Bruce B.McNair from GVA Advantis. Keith Lipton, executive vice president and managing director, tells GlobeSt.com that the new hires are going to fill areas the company wants to expand in the Washington region.

Also joining Grubb & Ellis is Will Travis, as senior vice president and regional director of project management. He will oversee those activities in the region. The business was formed earlier this year as part of a strategic growth plan. Travis, in particular, Lipton says, was a key component of the deal. “Project management is definitely an area we plan to develop further.” Lipton himself is relatively new to the Grubb & Ellis Washington, DC-team, as is Margaret Donkerbrook, vice president, managing director.

Both Morris and McNair were founding partners of Morris-McNair & Associates, which was acquired by GVA Advantis in 1999. For the past six years, the Morris-McNair team has been ranked as the No. 1 leasing team in the DC region. Gregg A. Brown, Josh Hartman, Rob Watts and Michael Molinari are also part of the GVA Advantis team.
