Corporate Office Properties Trust is the largest owner of the center--the largest office park in the Washington metro area. This is the second lease with Northrop Grumman for their information technology sector, says Randall M. Griffin, president and CEO for COPT. "This lease firmly solidifies our Westfields Corporate Center portfolio." Additional leasing information was not released.

A few months ago, COPT signed a long-term lease with Northrop Grumman in a 193,000-sf office building that is expected to be completed next June. The building, whose costs are a projected $54 million, will be in the Meadowville Technology Park in Chesterfield County. Meadowville Technology Park is a 1,300-acre park owned by Chesterfield County that is being developed into an office and industrial park.
