CHICAGO-Law firm Barack Ferrazzano Kirschbaum Perlman & Nagelberg, LLP has finalized a 15-year lease for 97,160 sf at 200 W. Madison. The lease, which consists of the top six floors of the 45-story, 928,040-sf office tower, gives Barack Ferrazzano the anchor-tenant title.
"This move to substantially more space signals our confidence in the future growth and success of our firm," says managing partner Howard Kirschbaum. The space represents a 50% increase in space from its current location at 333 W. Wacker Dr.
Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and completed in 1983, the building features a sawtooth design that provides up to eight corner offices per floor. located in the heart of Chicago's central business district. The property is situated on a rectangular-shaped site bounded by West Madison Street, North Wells Street, West Calhoun Place and One North Franklin. Renovations on the building's lobby were completed in April 2006, creating an expanded, two-story entry, which functions as an enclosed winter garden and public plaza.
Pamela Parasugo of Tishman Speyer and Tamara Kos of Transwestern Commercial Services represented building ownership, while Frederick J. Panici of MB Real Estate represented the tenant. "It's fitting that one of Chicago's most prestigious law firms is coming to take the best available block of space in the city," Tishman Speyer senior managing director Casey Wold says.
