The new A-Check facility is a 12,000-sf building that is under construction at the 56-acre University Research Park. A-Check VP Carlos Lacambra says the company chose the new site because of the strong technology base at the project and the incentives offered by the City of Riverside.

The city provides low-cost electrical power through its municipal utility and is assisting with A-Check's work force recruitment and development. Lacambra says that A-Check also chose the new location for a variety of other factors, including the proximity of the University of California at Riverside and rental rates below those at comparable facilities in Los Angeles and Orange counties.

In addition to performing background and drug checks, A-Check America develops software designed to obtain, store and report information. The new facility in Riverside will serve as a center for research and development for A-Check in addition to serving as its headquarters.
