Biggs started the Studley office in 2000 after 15 years at C&W. He is returning as one of four executive directors in the 40-broker office. Craig Wilson, who marked his fourth year as a Studley associate, will become an associate director by following his mentor and dealmaking partner to C&W. The double win takes C&W's office tenant rep division to 16.

"We are very excited to have Greg back on board," says Elizabeth Trocchio, executive managing director. "And we're very excited about the professionalism and reputation that he brings to C&W. It's an added value for what we already have."

Biggs, who's vacationing in Lake Tahoe, CA, tells GlobeSt.com that he started to weigh his "best fit for the future" about two weeks ago. "I wanted to get back to what I do best, brokerage and corporate work," he says. "Studley is a terrific company, but it was just time for me to make a change. It's very difficult to go through this process and it was incredibly stressful and incredibly emotional to make this change." But, he adds, he felt he had taken the 11-broker office as far as he could.

Studley executives were unavailable for comment by publication time. A decision about his interim replacement is pending.

Biggs stresses that the break, though sudden, is being done amicably. "I caught them off guard," says the firm's ex-senior vice president and branch manager. "I caught myself off guard. It just happened."

The 20-year pro's track record spans more than three million sf of office lease closings. Biggs has a few deals remaining in the Studley pipeline, but he's not making any predictions as to how long it will take to close them out. Right now, he's focused on his first extended R&R in six years and prepping to renew his long-time partnership with C&W director Rick Hughes.

"At the end of the day, what it came down to was me feeling really good at being back at Cushman & Wakefield," Biggs says, "and working again with Rick."
