Produced by Real Estate Media, publisher of Real Estate Forum, Real Estate Southern California and GlobeSt.com, the conference will feature a keynote address from Southern California economic expert Dr. John Husing. Among Husing's topics will be a forecast of local growth and development changes as they relate specifically to the Inland Empire and generally to the Western US.
Some of the Inland Empire's most recent changes have to do with its amenities and changing landscape. It has evolved from a big box Mecca to a region that touts its affordable housing, booming office and retail markets and vast industrial supply, which will all be discussed at the conference's Town Hall Meeting.
Jeff Moore, senior managing director of CB Richard Ellis, will moderate the Town Hall Meeting. Panelists include: Kevin Assef, managing director, Marcus & Millichap; Paul Biane, vice-chair & second district supervisor, San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors; Paul Earnhart, president, Lee & Associates; Paul Hiller, president & CEO, Inland Empire Economic Partnership; and Jeff Phelan, partner, Panattoni Development Co.
The event will feature a strong municipality component and will have break out sessions covering each product type as well as logistics, which play a key role for the distribution-rich area. The pairing of local governments with commercial projects has benefited both sides, as Belinda Graham, City of Riverside development director and conference advisory board member, notes.
"[Our] main goal is to help incubate startup companies that have grown and are looking to really take off as companies on their own," she tells GlobeSt.com. "Naturally, we hope those startups will stay in Riverside and then commit to [it] as a place where they want to do business."
Those wishing to hear more about the city/county-project relationship can attend a seminar on "Municipalities' Role in Growing the Inland Empire." There will also be sessions concerning tenant-in-common investments, debt and equity and forecasts for the office and retail markets.
