LEWISVILLE, TX-A Carson, CA-based supplier of industrial equipment has carved out 179,754 sf for its first location in Texas. The regional operations hub has been secured with a 10-year lease.

Multiquip Inc. is planning to open doors in 60 to 90 days at 1800 Waters Ridge Dr., a 600,681-sf office/warehouse now owned by Teachers Insurance & Annuity of America. The tenant's rep, Walter Floyd with NAI Huff Partners in Fort Worth, tells GlobeSt.com that the site search lasted nearly five months and encompassed the entire metroplex. "We started out with a clean slate," he says. "That was the one building that made economic sense."

Floyd says Multiquip will relocate part of the California team and will round out the workforce with local hires. "It's a large expansion for them," says Floyd, who teamed with NAI's Ryan Wood on the deal for the regional office. Dayton Conklin with Trammell Crow Co. represents the New York City-based owner.
