EMERYVILLE, CA-Madison Marquette has landed Sweden-based discount fashion retailer H&M for its 400,000-sf Bay Street shopping center here that opened in 2002. H&M expects to open the store in Spring 2007.

H&M will occupy 12,600 sf bordering Bay Street’s 16-screen AMC movie theater, which will put it very near Ikea, another Sweden-based retailer. H&M currently has two locations up and running at Union Square in San Francisco and has three other Bay Area locations in the works, including Westfield San Francisco Centre and Sun Valley Mall in Concord.
