Developer Maps Out 40-Acre, Mixed-Use Plan

AVONDALE, AZ-An Arizona developer has acquired 39.7 acres for $11.24 million from SunCor Development Co. of Tempe in an off-market deal. The developer is planning to build a mixed-use project with mostly commercial space.

Rose Properties, based in nearby Goodyear, has picked up acreage at the intersection of Dysart and Indian School roads for a mixed-use project dubbed “Pasadera.” Paul Holland, a vice president in Phoenix for Colliers International Inc., says a groundbreaking should take place within two years. “We’re working on amending the general plan right now so we’re not sure what will be here yet,” he tells GlobeSt.com, explaining owners are entitled to amend plans annually. “Our plan to amend this comes in January.” He says the mix could be office, medical, retail and possibly multifamily.
