Alan Chamorro, a 19-year veteran of the firm who most recently was an SVP of acquisitions, is now GM of the San Francisco office, overseeing day-to-day operations and staff at the company's North American headquarters. Mark Darley, formerly Director of West Coast Development in San Francisco, is now an SVP and GM of Grosvenor's office in Washington, DC. Ryan Beechinor, most recently an SVP of Development takes over as GM of the company's Vancouver, BC, office.
Grosvenor's CEO Bill Abelmann says Chamorro, Darley and Beechinor will be involved all real estate decisions in their respective markets in the areas of asset management, development and investment.
The promotions are the result of several earlier promotions, a company source tells GlobeSt.com. For example, Mark Preston, who used to head up Grosvenor's US operations, is now CEO of Great Britain and Ireland; Andrew Bibby, formerly head of the Canada operations, is now in charge of development throughout North America; and Andrew Galbraith, who used to head up the DC office, is now in charge of acquisitions throughout North America.
Grosvenor represents the interests of the Grosvenor family headed by the Duke of Westminster. It undertakes real estate development and investment on its own behalf and on behalf of partners and investors through its regional operating companies and fund management business. The company manages or has interests in approximately $17.3 billion of real estate.
