BRAINTREE, MA-IndyMac Bank has signed a long-term lease on 25,000 sf of office space at One Adams Pl. in Braintree in a deal that gives the nation's 10th largest mortgage originator its third Bay State location.

Tom Kent, with the Trammell Crow Co., tells GlobeSt.com that the firm, the largest savings and loan in Los Angeles, selected the location because it offered first class amenities and an easily accessible location near the intersection of Route 3, Interstate 93, and Route 128 on the Quincy/Braintree line.

"IndyMac was looking for first class amenities and that's exactly what Adams Place offers in an excellent location", says Kent. Terms of that lease were not disclosed but similar space in the Braintree area generally rents in the $23-to-$25 per sf range, according to market studies. IndyMac, which has offices in both Arlington and Westborough, will take the entire second floor in the 125,000-sf, five-story building when the firm moves into the property early next year.

Kent, along with Rick Fahey and Leeanne Rizzo, also with the Trammell Crow, handled the leasing arrangements on behalf of the landlord, HRPT Properties Trust, of Newton. Nat Kessler and Jason Levendusky, both with CB Richard Ellis' Boston office, represented the tenant.
