Lowrie Lando & Anastasi, LLP added 8,000 sf to its existing space and extended its lease at the two-building Kendall Square property another seven years, David Townsend, with Cushman & Wakefield's Boston office, tells GlobeSt.com.

"The firm has seen some pretty dramatic growth and some real success," says Townsend, noting that the law firm, which was started by three Boston lawyers, grew from 7,000 sf when it moved into the building in April 2003 to 14,000 sf before expanding into its current space. The property features a fitness center, conference rooms and access to the many amenities in Kendall Square. It is more than 90% leased by tenants that include the high-tech companies Art Technology, Comverse Technology and the consulting firm the Shaw Group.

Terms of the lease were not disclosed but Townsend says class A tower space in Cambridge generally leases in the mid to high $30-per-sf range, gross. Townsend handled the transaction for the tenant while Mark J. Winters and Juliette Reiter, colleagues at Cushman & Wakefield, represented the landlord, Rreef.
