Former Navy Hospital Site To Yield $50M Complex

CHELSEA, MA-Chelsea will get its first new construction in decades when a Texas developer breaks ground on a 160-unit luxury apartment complex atop Admiral's Hill.

CHELSEA, MA-Chelsea will get its first new construction in decades when Texas-based developer JPI breaks ground next year on a $50-million project, bringing 160 waterfront apartments to the last remaining parcel on Admiral’s Hill.

Thomas O’Brien, executive vice president and managing partner with the Irvine, TX firm, tells GlobeSt.com that the project, Jefferson at Admiral’s Hill, will be built at the intersection of Commandment’s Way and Justin Drive. The 2.59-acre parcel is the site of the long-closed Chelsea Naval Hospital.
