Maitland-based NAI Realvest senior associate Mary Frances West negotiated the transaction representing the tenant. Adacel develops high-fidelity simulation and operational software for the air traffic controller and pilot training worldwide. Now in Orlando for four years, the company has expanded its worldwide corporate headquarters from its previous 12,700-sf location at 6200 Lee Vista Blvd.
The owner of the Lee Vista Business Center is San Antonio-based Clarke American Checks Inc. The company consolidated locations throughout the US and decided to close its Lee Vista Center operations and make the space available for sublease. Austin and Quentin Caruso, of Realty Capital Advisors, represented Clarke American in the transaction.
West tells GlobeSt.com that Adacel selected Lee Vista Business Center because it is down the street from its previous location and is also close to the airport. She adds that the company was looking to increase its space from 12,700 to 25,000 sf. "Since construction costs are going up, this was the best alternative," she says. "It also gives them room to grow in the future."
