Tucker Hansen, with Meredith & Grew's Boston office, tells GlobeSt.com that the company, which moved into 320 Putnam Ave. and 359 Allston St. earlier this month, selected the adjoining lab buildings because both offered nicely laid out space near the firm's former offices.

"The existing layout and the existing build-out really suited their needs," Hansen says. Both buildings are located within proximity to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard University and other biotech industry leaders and are accessible from the Massachusetts Turnpike.

Terms of the lease were not disclosed but Hansen says similar lab space in the Cambridgeport area generally leases in the mid-$20 per sf triple net range. Hansen along with Joseph Flaherty, also with Meredith & Grew, brokered the transaction between the tenant and the landlord, Hansa Realty Trust and the Myopia Trust.
