But will this activity continue into 2007? The RealShare Conference Series looks to answer this question when between 200 and 300 industry leaders meet for the inaugural RealShare National Investor Forum Oct. 10 at the Roosevelt Hotel.
"RealShare National Investor Forum is going to bring together a wide range of active buyers and sellers, as well as leading investment sales brokers and lenders who help put the deals together," comments Richard Kelley, director of the RealShare Conference Series.
The RealShare Conference Series is produced by Real Estate Media, publisher of GlobeSt.com and Real Estate Forum.
The day will start with opening remarks from Michael Desiato, group publisher and editorial director of Real Estate Media. He will be followed by Hessam Nadji, managing director of Marcus & Millichap, as he looks to where the investment market is now and where it is going in 2007. Cia Buckely, president, US Fund Business at JER Partners, will give the keynote address.
The day-long event's will feature an institutional investor power panel and a national investor power panel. Sessions at the forum will include "Winning in the Opportunistic Investment and Value-Add Game", "The Billion Dollar Club: Superstar Investment Sales Brokers Tell How They See It From Their Side of the Market" and "Private Investors: What Are Their Criteria for Deals and Risk?"
The speaker roster also boasts the top names in the industry. The list includes Skip Wells, GE Real Estate; Michael Szwajkowski, CapitalSource; Michael Magner, IXIS; Doug Harmon, Eastdil Secured; Steve Conley, Holliday Fenoglio Fowler; Jack Fraker, CB Richard Ellis; Jeff Neal, Monument Realty; Norman Sturner, Murray Hill Properties; and Lee Neibart, Apollo Real Estate Advisors.
Other feature speakers will be Steve Pumper, Transwestern; Thomas Garbutt, TIAA-CREF; Robert Gigliotti, Apollo Real Estate Advisors; Jeff Goldberg, Milestone Group; David Henry, Kimco Realty Corp.; Robert Merck, MetLife Real Estate Investments; Victoria Kahn, ING Clarion; and Hugh Hall, Gramercy Capital Corp.
RealShare National Investor Forum will wrap-up with a cocktail reception to coincide with the 60th anniversary party for Real Estate Forum. All RealShare National Investor Forum attendees and speakers are invited to attend the high-level party and reception, Kelley adds.
