All of the moves were effective as of Oct. 1. The Cresa executives were not available at press time, but in a released statement, Goade said the firm was created in 1998 to "fill a void that used to exist in the quality of corporate real estate advisory services…[and the firm has] become a leader of our industry in North America."
Goade has more than 25 years of experience in real estate. In his new role, he will manage the overall operations of Cresa Partners and oversee development and communications.
Porter brings more than 27 years of corporate real estate experience to his new post and has been honored by CoreNet Global, as their "Service Provider of the Year." He added that the firm will continue to "grow our business through the combined global resources of more than 3,600 people [and] our clients will continue to benefit from our full spectrum of tenant services and experienced industry experts."
Beyond these most recent executive moves, the firm has been busy this year adding to its national platform. Earlier in 2006, the firm expanded to Pittsburgh through an affiliation with Alliance Real Estate Associates, which was founded in 2002 by Dick Cassetti, who became a managing principal of Cresa.
In another move, the firm added John Flack, to its Atlanta office. Flack hired on as a vice president at the firm. At the time of the hire, Cresa Partners principal Richard Chrismer told GlobeSt.com that the firm has been making a concentrated effort over the past few years to add people who specialize in office tenant representation.
No word on what former CEO Hayes will be doing beyond his advisory role, but it was a major coup when Cresa got Hayes and his Orange County office of the Staubach Co. to switch allegiances in February 2004. At the time, Hayes told GlobeSt.com that the switch was a result of "differing visions for growth in Southern California," but he emphasized that the parting was amicable and that the new Cresa office would continue to do business with Staubach.
Adding the 26 Staubach brokers and their accounts to the fold made Cresa the largest tenant rep firm in Southern California.
