MANSFIELD,MA-Sun Chemical Co. will move its ink production operations to Raynham now that it has sold its 22,150-sf manufacturing facility to Natick-based Crosspoint Associates Inc. in a deal valued at almost $1.5 million.
Sean Teague, with the Trammell Crow Co.'s Boston office, tells GlobeSt.com that the new owner plans to renovate the 320 Forbes Blvd. in Mansfield's Cabot Business Park, turning the property into office and lab space to tap into the area's growing biotech market.
The building, which sits on about five acres in one of the largest business parks in the area, brought out a flurry of interest when it was placed on the market, Teague says. He called the property "a boutique-ish building in what is arguably the nicest mixed use park in the area."
About 10 potential buyers expressed interest in the facility, Teague says, but Crosspoint's high priced offer and quick closing terms sealed the deal for the buyer.
Teague, along with Leeanne Rizzo of Trammell Crow Co., handled the transaction for Sun Chemical. Crosspoint was self-represented in the deal.
