Jim Nicoletti, with CB Richard Ellis/New England, tells GlobeSt.com that the company will take the entire building for its corporate headquarters with landlord the Bulfinch Cos., Inc., of Boston. Cantata was established earlier this year through the combination of Brooktrout Technology and Excel Switching Corp.

Terms of that lease were not disclosed but space in the Route 128 west corridor generally leases in the $20 range, according to market studies.

Nicoletti says Bulfinch's reputation as a landlord along with the building's strong location along Route 128, which gives Cantana highway visibility, were the reasons behind the tenant's leasing decision.

Mike Ripp and Nicoletti, with CB Richard Ellis/New England, handled the lease negotiations for the tenant. Mike Wilcox, director of leasing for the Bulfinch Cos., represented the landlord.
