Eric Gorman and Harry McKenna of Philadelphia-based Jackson Cross Partners represented GID in the negotiations and were the sole brokers in the transaction. Gorman tells GlobeSt.com the lease has a three-year term and the rent rate is approximately $10 per sf, triple net. Masquerade takes occupancy in the building to above 85%.
Halloween Adventures is one of the country's largest costume and masquerade retailers, according to Gorman. It has full-year Halloween Adventure Costume Super Stores in Las Vegas and Los Angeles and just opened a third on Delaware Avenue in Philadelphia. These are in addition to hundreds of units that it opens short-term in opportunistic locations nationwide prior to Halloween. Swing Sets Direct markets swing sets and other children's outdoor equipment via the Internet and also opens stores at shopping centers under short-term, seasonal rental deals.
