Neyer Kicks Off $100M 'Green' Project

CINCINNATI-The developer expects investment in green architecture to translate into long-term savings at 460,000-sf office complex.

CINCINNATI-Neyer Properties has broken ground on Keystone Parke, a three-building, 460,000-sf office complex along Dana Avenue in Cincinnati’s Evanston neighborhood. The $100-million project, which includes several green design features, will be built in multiple phases. The project’s first phase is a four-story, 65,000-sf office building at Dana and Realistic avenues. Other components of the project include a seven-story, 171,000-sf office building, a 10-story, 234,000-sf office building, an underground parking structure and an outlot building for retail or restaurant.

Neyer says that the investment in green architecture will translate into long-term savings in the form of lower operating costs. The Keystone Parke project features green roofs, high-efficiency windows, daylighting, and upgraded HVAC systems. In addition, the developer has chosen to use paints, carpeting and sealings that are low in volatile organic compounds. “All of that goes toward improving indoor air quality, which leads to better productivity, reduced absenteeism and reduced turnover,” says Jeff Chamot of Neyer properties.
