BEAVERCREEK, OH – Gearing up for its 100th anniversary, Woolpert Inc., a locally based engineering firm founded in 1911, has signed a 50,000-sf office lease in the 1,250-acre Miami Valley Research Park on Shakerton Road. Woolpert will move into its new build-to-suit headquarters, which is being developed by Dayton, OH-based Synergy Development, next October.

Jerry Momper, a senior vice president in The Staubach Co.'s Cincinnati office, tells GlobeSt.com that Woolpert's new headquarters is being built in a 28-acre area of the park called the Idea Center at Research Park. Located at Research Boulevard and County Line Road, the mixed-use business community will total 350,000 sf. Tenants of the center will share services and amenities, including an entrance drive, parking, plazas, landscaping, a dry cleaner, copy center, and coffee and sandwich shops.

According to Staubach, the Woolpert search included a detailed analysis of nearly 40 sites in the Greater Dayton area. Woolpert plans to move 200 employees from its current headquarters, which is also east of Dayton.

Nearly two million sf of building projects on 300 acres has been completed in the 1,250-acre Miami Valley Research Park, a university-related research park owned by the Miami Valley Research Foundation.
