Rust-Oleum Inks 62,000-SF Expansion

HAGERSTOWN, MD-Rust-Oleum Corp. is steadily expanding its space here. The Vernon Hills, IL-based company has just inked an agreement with BPG Properties Ltd. to expand its space by 62,000 sf at the Hagerstown Distribution Center. Six months ago the company leased 100,000 sf at the 170,000-sf facility, which is located at 16604 Industrial Ln.

There are signs that Rust-Oleum is looking to expand beyond the space capabilities of the facility. In a statement, George Haines, project executive responsible for the asset management of the facility, says the firm hopes to accommodate even more of Rust-Oleum’s future growth by adding an additional 90,000 sf on the site. The property is located on 15.37 acres, which can accommodate the additional space, the company also said in the statement. BPG is currently seeking the necessary municipal approvals to develop the land.
