Neighborhood Health Plan Renews and Expands

BOSTON-Neighborhood Health Plan has added seven years to its lease and about 8,000 sf to its offices.

BOSTON- Healthcare provider Neighborhood Health Plan has extended its lease by seven years and expanded its square footage by about 8,000 sf in a transaction that gives the healthcare insurance company 77,590 sf and three floors for its Boston headquarters. Lawrence Epstein, with Meredith & Grew, tells GlobeSt.com that the lease gives the company the fourth, fifth and sixth floors at 253 Summer and 27 Melcher streets in the Fort Point Channel area.Terms of the lease were not disclosed but office space in the area generally leases in the mid-$20s to mid -$30s per sf, Epstein says. The two properties, which are connected, total 177,000 sf and are now fully leased.Epstein along with colleagues Ronald Perry and Jeffrey Gates, handled the transaction for the tenant. The landlord, Boston HSR South Boston LLC, was represented in the deal by Andrew Hoar, Christopher Cuddy and William Crean Jr. all with CB Richard Ellis/New England.
